Project Significance
Edinburgh is a city steeped in cultural and artistic heritage, known for its architecture, literature, and natural landscapes. The artwork scheme for this project subtly reflects this context through a curated mix of abstract compositions, botanical references, animals and minimal line drawings.
The Design Approach
Developed entirely in-house and in collaboration with our artists, the artwork scheme was created from a blank canvas approach, ensuring every piece was tailored specifically to the project and not available elsewhere. Drawing inspiration from contemporary abstraction and subtle references to nature and form, the collection introduces a balance of calm, colour, and texture throughout the space.
The design brief called for artwork that would complement the hotel’s soft, neutral palette and elegant architectural details while introducing moments of visual interest. Spires Art supplied bespoke framed art, carefully tailored in size, layout, and finish to suit each setting from intimate bedroom arrangements to larger statement groupings in communal areas.
Collaboration
Our design-led production process allowed for flexibility at every stage, ensuring the final artwork package felt intentional and fully integrated. Where required, installation support ensured that each piece was positioned to maximise visual impact and maintain design consistency.
